Permission based e-mail marketing, is a method of advertising via e-mail whereby the recipient of the advertisement has consented to receive it.
This method is one of several developed by marketeers to eliminate the disadvantages of email marketing. At Lexiconnect we believe that this is the most appropriate method to promote your message by this type of media. Intended recipients must have "opted in" to receive additional information. The information supplied must be of a high quality in text and artwork.
In 2002 the European Union introduced the Directive on Privacy and Electronic Communications. Article 13 of the Directive prohibits the use of email addresses for marketing purposes. The Directive establishes the opt-in regime, where unsolicited emails may be sent only with prior agreement of the recipient. In effect the "permission based" marketing method is the optimum system to implement. Since then the GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) was introduced in May 2018. This combines many laws and regulations into a single entity regarding private EU citizen data and how it can be utilised.
